The event attracted a global audience, with participants from countries such as the United States, France, Israel, Iran, and Portugal attending alongside Indian devotees. Many international visitors expressed their admiration for Indian culture and spirituality.
To ensure smooth management and safety, more than 50,000 security personnel were deployed, including police, paramilitary forces, and local security staff. Additionally, ‘Ganga Seva Doots’ (Ganga service volunteers) worked at the ghats to maintain cleanliness by removing offerings and other items from the river promptly.
This year’s Maha Kumbh saw the inclusion of Bhogali Bihu, a traditional festival from Assam, celebrated within the mela premises. Assamese devotees performed traditional dances, sang hymns, and distributed rice-based dishes, adding a regional dimension to the event.
Cultural programmes formed a key part of the Maha Kumbh. Artists and participants from various states showcased traditional music and dance, representing the country’s diverse cultural landscape. To support attendees, the administration provided free medical services, drinking water facilities, and transportation arrangements.
The large international turnout and the cultural programmes helped spotlight India’s traditions on a global scale, underscoring the country’s rich heritage and spirituality. The Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to be a platform for faith and cultural exchange, fostering unity among diverse groups of people.
